First Full Day of Kindergarten
August 20th will be the first official FULL day of school for your Kindergartner! This is the start of the regular Kindergarten schedule. All students will attend school for the full day (7:55-2:30) with their assigned teacher. A backpack with a water bottle, 2 snacks, and lunch (lunch can be purchased as well) will be needed this day and going forward!
Kindergarten half days for the first 4 days of school
Parents will sign up their child to attend either the morning or afternoon session for the first four days of the school. A sign-up link will be sent out in early August. Please sign up right away as spaces are limited! Students attend a half-day schedule for either Morning (7:55-10:45) or Afternoon (11:40-2:30) these first 4 days of school. Please note there is no lunch or mid-day bus transportation on these days.
These half days serve as our assessment and staggered start days. During this time the Kindergarten team will co-teach each group. We will administer assessments, introduce the kids to our classrooms and routines, meet some new friends and get to know each child a little better. These first four days are an important part of helping ease your child into the school year and in helping the teachers gather information about each child. We expect all students to attend!
