Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, I still, “Park the car in Harvard yard.” I attended Rutgers University, located in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where I received my B.A. in English and Elementary Education. I taught in the New Brunswick Public School for sixteen years. Thirteen years ago I came to Colorado working for the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. I fell in love with the majestic mountains. It was then that I joined the Boulder Valley School District. In 2002, I received my M.A. in Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University. In 2008, I received my administrator’s license from CU-Denver and my EDS in Equity and Culture. I am humbled to be a part of the Douglass community.
