Activities and Clubs

Douglass Elementary School is an active school throughout the day and even after the dismissal bell rings.  We are proud to offer a wide variety of excellent after school academic and enrichment activities for our students. Check out what is available. There is something for everyone!

Many of our programs are offered through the BVSD Lifelong Learning Program, Girl Scouts, and school sponsored events including Choir and Intramural Sports.  More extra-curricular activities can be found in the BVSD published Community Connections Guide.   In addition, Douglass School Age Care (SAC) is available for children from Kindergarten through 5th Grade. We encourage families to take advantage of these extra curricular activities, but we also request that parents be diligent about notifying their group sponsor about any absences.  The school office spends a considerable amount of time trying to locate a student who failed to show up for a registered activity.  We take great care to ensure the safety of our students and appreciate our parents clearly communicating after school instructions to their children and to the activity sponsor.  For your convenience we attempt to post all of our after school activities and their corresponding sponsor. Please note that the independent organizations are not BVSD-endorsed but simply rent the building through the BVSD Community School program.
