Innovation Fair

The Innovation Fair is Monday, Feb. 4, 2019.

This non-competitive innovation fair gives students who choose to do a project  or create an invention, the chance to explore an area of science or invention that especially interests them.  Those students opting to do a science fair experiment will be required to apply the scientific method and display their projects on a science fair board. Although the majority of the 175-200 projects each year are completed by intermediate-level students, we always have projects done by students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

    Dates to Remember

    • Friday, December 21, 2018: Project and Invention application must be turned in to classroom teachers.
    • Wednesday, January 23, 2019:  Projects due in all classes for classroom presentations.
    • Monday, February 4, 2019 : Douglass Innovation Fair Open House 6:00 - 7:00 (all boards and inventions must be picked up by the end of this open house or they will be disposed of during clean up)
Note:  this year we will not be offering science fair boards for purchase on revtrak.  They are readily available at office supply stores such as Office Max and Staples.
