Parent Involvement

Parents are a vital part of our school's success. Research shows a high correlation between parent involvement in their student's education and their future achievements, both academic and social.

We welcome visitors to our school but due to security policies, we no longer allow classroom visitations. All visitors must sign in at the front office upon arrival and wear a visitor's badge while on school property. The school offers tours in December and January during the district Open Enrollment window. Please check our calendar of events for the dates and times.

Douglass has a wide variety of opportunities for parent involvement, from volunteering in the classroom to serving on one of our committees; Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)School Accountability Committee (SAC)District Parent Council (DPC) and many more.

You will find useful information throughout this portion of our website but do not hesitate to contact your student's teacher or our office staff if you have any questions.
